Aftercare

It's important to care for your tattoo, no matter its size. Follow these guidelines to keep your ink looking its best.

Healing your new ink

  1. 01

    Keep your plastic wrap on the newly tattooed area for at least 1 hour.

  2. 02

    Clean it with water and pat dry once you unwrap the bandage.

  3. 03

    After two days, apply a very thin layer of aftercare balm. Apply twice a day.

  4. 04

    Your ink will peel and scab. This is absolutely normal. Do not pick the scab; doing so risks harming yourself and your design.

  5. 05

    Do not swim or soak in a spa or bath for at least two weeks. Showering is fine, but do not scrub the tattoo.

  6. 06

    Excess tattoo ink may stain linen, so protect these items. Avoid direct sunlight.

Touch-Up Policy

What's covered, and when

One complimentary touch-up within three months, subject to the conditions below.

  • Due to the individuality of tattoos and how they react with different skin, touch-ups may be required from time to time. A touch-up is designed to repair small discrepancies including minor ink drop-out and colour fading.

  • Subject to following correct aftercare instructions, the complimentary touch-up is available within 3 months of your original tattoo date. After the 3-month expiry, touch-up appointments will be quoted at the standard rate.

  • The complimentary touch-up can only be redeemed at the original studio location and cannot be transferred.

  • The touch-up appointment must be completed by the original artist. If unavailable, an alternate artist will be appointed at the studio's discretion.

  • Failure to follow correct aftercare instructions will void your complimentary touch-up.

  • Areas not eligible for complimentary touch-up: Hands, Fingers, Feet, Toes, Neck, Face (non-cosmetic), Lips (non-cosmetic), Elbows.

All payments made to STB Studio are non-refundable under any circumstances, regardless of changes in situation, unmet expectations, or missed appointments.
